Project Challenge: 

Design and Build an Anemometer that will Measure the Speed of Wind on the Playground

Students draw designs in their journals, gather materials, and work as a team to build their own anemometer.  It must spin and capture the wind.  After testing in the classroom, students bring their models outside to observe the wind speed.
